McAree Engineering will have a vintage Farmall Super A from the late 1940’s (see photo)  which they believe is the only one in Ireland.  It has been restored by Benny McCabe in Monaghan.

McAree will be displaying their full range of V-Mac silos on their stand – with single and split silos along with legged, offset and enclosed options available to check out.  This year they will also have one of their feeder wagon storage solutions – their enclosed silo with feeder wagon augur fitted to it.  Their very popular tote bins will also be on display. The feed silos are constructed using Magizinc, a modern steel that provides the extremely high levels of protection against corrosion and with exclusive interlocked forming and are incredibly strong. 

McAree make their silos different from anyone else as the rolled body construction ensures a smooth inside wall helping excellent product flow and super-strength construction. Suitable for the agricultural, biomass, waste water treatment and plastics industries – V-Mac silos are available in a range of styles and formats. 

In addition McAree will be featuring the award winning SiloSpi feed silo monitoring solution, featuring Lvlogics software and monitoring application. This innovative technology is solar powered, with a lid fitted silo monitor, is easy to install and trouble free.

According to Peter Richardson, Sales & Marketing Manager “it is the easiest and quickest way to accurately monitor the volume and quality of the dairy, pig or poultry ration in your feed silo.

Visitors to Stand No. 40 on Block 2 (Row 2) also have the opportunity to win a V-Mac feed barrow valued at €400. McAree technical advisors on the stand will include Fergal Sherry, Noel Kiely, Peter Richardson along with Barry & Eileen Finnegan from Lvlogics Ltd .

Family firm joins global leader Hiab.

One of Southern Ireland’s most established truck body manufacturers has been named as an official partner of a global leader in heavy lifting equipment.

Gleeson will already be a familiar name to many companies in the region having grown from a small agricultural equipment provider in 1968 to become a cutting-edge manufacturer of bodies.

Its five decades of market experience have now been recognised by Hiab, the world leading provider of load handling.

The Tipperary-based company will continue its growth as it becomes a leading Hiab sales and service provider in Southern Ireland. Gleeson will be showcasing its partnership at the National Ploughing Championships, taking place 19th to 21st September in Ratheniska, Co. 

Gleeson’s stand will be packed with the latest in Hiab’s product offerings including MULTILIFT and the brand-new HIAB iX 158 HIDUO crane which is set to hit the UK market later this month. New Develon Products at National Ploughing Championships

EMS (Embankment Machinery Sales), based in Naas in County Kildare, is showing several new products from Develon, formerly Doosan Construction Equipment, for the first time at the National Ploughing Championships, being held at Ratheniska in County Laois in Ireland from 19-21 September 2023. 

EMS is responsible for sales and service for the full range of Develon crawler and wheeled excavators from 14-100 tonne in Leinster, Munster and Connacht in Ireland. EMS (www.emsmachinery.com) is also the dealer in the same areas for the full range of Develon mini- and midi-excavators from 1 to 11 tonne. 

The new products at the National Ploughing Championships include the DX27-7 2.8 tonne and DX50Z-7 5.4 tonne mini-excavators, being shown alongside the brand new DX63-7 6 tonne and DX85R-7 8 tonne models. All of these are next generation Stage V mini-excavators designed to offer maximum performance, optimum stability, increased versatility, enhanced operator comfort, controllability, durability, ease of maintenance and serviceability. 

The display of compact equipment will also include the new DX100W-7 10.7 tonne wheeled excavator. The 10 tonne weight class represented by the DX100W-7 is new to the Develon range and the DX100W-7 offers a high performance solution for customers looking for a wheeled excavator designed primarily for urban and road maintenance applications.

Medium-sized Excavators from 14-25 tonne

The Develon range of medium-sized ‘DX-7’ Stage V crawler excavator models from 14 to 25 tonne now comprises 11 models. At the National Ploughing Championships, EMS is showing the DX140LCR-7 15.6 tonne and DX235LCR-7 25.3 tonne reduced tail swing models from this range, giving operators greater flexibility where space is a premium without sacrificing performance. 

Like the rest of the DX-7 range, the state-of-the-art cab on the DX140LCR-7 and DX235LCR-7 excels in terms of spaciousness and ergonomics, taking operator comfort and ease of operation to new levels. As well as a new high quality seat, the enhanced cab offers more features as standard than other machines on the market, ensuring super controllability and high precision in all applications. 

Now in its 92nd year, the National Ploughing Championships or NPC is the largest event of its type in the world. Previously known as The National Ploughing Championships Machinery & Livestock Exhibition, the NPC is an outdoor show incorporating a ploughing contest. Held every September, it draws over 1700 exhibitors and had 297,000 visitors in 2019.
