Camsaw

Camsaw are delighted to have John Hayes from Special Branch Carving’s demonstrating his handcrafted wooden sculptures at the Ploughing Championships again this year.  John uses a range of chainsaws to complete his work and it is intriguing to watch him create his magnificent pieces.  John recently finished carving life into a 40ft tree of the blessed virgin surrounded by 3 angels at Fenor Church. It created so much attention and appeared on Nationwide telling the amazing story of his vision to come up with this idea for the tree which had fallen victim to storm damage resulting in his masterpiece.

John also appeared on TV3 earlier this year on the Maura & Daithi show to promote his magnificent work and had to carve a face onto a piece of timber in a matter of minutes live on the show.

John works hard to wow the crowds at the ploughing and always comes up with some unique sculptures on the day, we would really appreciate it if you could help us to promote our stand and Special Branch Carvings this year.

Camsaw will be located at Block 2, Row 7, Stand 155

CaballisEqui-Feeder

The CaballisEqui-Feeder was developed by 16 year old transition year student Daniel Carroll. The idea arose as a result of Daniels own experience with colic in one of his horses. Having searched for over two years for a solution to reduce the risks of colic and similar illnesses, Daniel decided he was just going to have to come up with a solution himself.

After testing the feeder on his own horses and scientifically proving its effectiveness at not only reducing the risks of colic but a whole range of other common digestive problems, Daniel entered the feeder in the BT Young Scientist. It was there where it gained great recognition by winning two awards including the prestigious Veterinary Council of Ireland award. The invention later went on to win a Nova UCD award, Offaly student enterprise award and best innovation at the national student enterprise awards held in Croke Park in April.

Having been interviewed on Morning Ireland earlier in the year, both Daniel and the CaballisEqui-Feeder have gained recognition amongst equestrian experts and professionals alike, not to mention Olympic Bronze medallist Cian O’Connor who said, “The CaballisEqui-Feeder is a new and innovative solution to many digestive problems faced by performance horses. I have used it with my own horses and would highly recommend it.”

Blaney Motor launch farmer’s little helper

Blaney Motor, Co Antrim off road vehicle manufacturer, are thrilled to exhibit at National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore where they will showcase their range of new multipurpose wheeled loaders. Blaney Motor’s Stand 412 will see the launch in Ireland of the locally built machines and will feature a working demonstration. As if that wasn’t enough excitement, Blaney will also unveil a new concept machine for those looking for more.

Blaney’s multipurpose wheeled loaders are specifically designed to be compact for manoeuvrability and mobility. Their size allows them to access hard to reach areas while their weight allows them to be transported on a trailer under 3.5 ton. Following recent field days event throughout Ireland the earlier concept loaders have already received great interest from those involved in farming, plant hire, construction, equestrian, landscaping, amenities, road works and self-build.

Blaney Motor is a division of the Blaney Group which is also home to established brands including Quad-X ATV equipment and Blaney Agri tractor machinery, and so the Blaney team have decades of experience within the agricultural industry and are well aware of the issues and problems that farmers face. This has given the Blaney development team the edge when designing machines since they are able to develop a vehicle with innovative features which offers a complete solution to many tasks. Most farmers have more jobs to dothan they have time for, and with good farm labour being hard to find farmers struggle to get the help they need…until now! The new Blaney compact wheeled loaders are ideal for a host of tasks around the yard, in the field or in outbuildings.

These compact loaders are multifunctional and can replace forklifts yet do more and tackle many of the jobs an ATV/UTV can do. Although small in size, these loaders are more than capable of most jobs many farmers do with larger more cumbersome handlers that are not suited to the job at hand. Rather than a case of what can it do, it’s a case of what can’t it do. With Blaney’s experience in the attachment sector they offer a range of off-highway vehicles that are multipurpose and versatile, by offering a wide range of tools for the job in the form of attachments. Around the yard and laneways the Blaney loaders are ideal for many jobs such as sweeping and hedge cutting as well as unloading, lifting and moving loads such as sand, stones, pallets and fertiliser bags. With a compact size and impressive reach the machines can be used to give access to maintenance jobs such as cleaning gutters and working at height.

The Blaney loader is equally at home in the field with its flotation tyres andlightweight body, 4 times lighter than a typical 2.5T machineand can be used to lift and move bales, assist with fencing work, feed stock, for topping and trailer work. The compact loaders come into their own indoors where space is tight such as along passageways and through narrow and low doors. The loaders are handy for scraping, bedding, mucking out, bale feeding and handling cereals.

Traditionally in agriculture, handlers are used only for bucket/fork work. Blaney are set to revolutionise the industry by offering a machine that can ‘do more with less’. With clever design and smart attachments backed by a heritage in innovation the uses are limitless.

The Blaney loaders have been designed to be simple to operate, with all the controls at your fingertips – easy controls for any novice. Blaney engineers have paid close attention to the need for farmers to hop on/ hop off quickly and incorporated a design for easy driver access.

The demo area on Blaney’s stand 412 will see the Blaney L1 10-27 pivot steer model put through its paces, while a new concept model will be unveiled at the show. The Blaney team look forward to speaking to you at the Ploughing Match, and welcome your feedback. They are keen to discuss your applications and how they can tailor machines to your needs.

Alison Duncan, Dealer Development Manager is excited by the opportunities these new machines offer the industry. She tells us, “We are delighted to bring to market a range of compact loaders and I am looking forward to working closer with our expanding dealer network over the coming months.”
